spam offends me

Remember the blook? My deadline is fast approaching and I have spent part of this morning reviewing the blog from the beginning.

Boy, my little family has been through some hard stuff.

I have also been deleting spam from my archives, as I go. I really hate spam and take it quite personally (which is dumb, given that spam is, by definition, automatically generated). I mean, how offensive is it to find a link to a commercial weight loss blog at the bottom of a post describing a very recent mastectomy?

I went back and read some of your early posts. Yes of course a blook would be FAB! Take a breath and press on! I'm rooting for you!

Love,
Babz

Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhh I just realized something! If you do a book launch in your city I could actually go since I live close enough now!

Hi. I just wrote a post on Blooking Central about your upcoming debut. Congratulations! I hope that once the madness of the deadline has passed that you'll stop by and give me all the details about how the blook came into being.

I went to a session at the BlogHer conference (the one on storytelling) and one of the panelists said, "no one wants to read a book turned into a blog." It freaked me out, as did many similar comments during the session on "blog to book and back again." Made me wonder what I've gotten myself into...

Someone should introduce that panelist to Julie Powell...not that anyone ever read that blook...noooooooooooo it never made a best sellers list. And I most certainly never read it either.

Sassymonkey - thanks! And it's hard to imagine the book launch but when it does happen (fall 2008!), I will send you an invite.
And Chris - an autographed copy will be yours!

Oh man - I'm in! I'll totally buy it!

Who is your publisher? You're a wonderful writer, and I'm so glad I found your blog.

My mom recently asked how I find good blogs to read - and I told her it was trial and error, so many bad ones, and so hard to find the good ones. Yours is one of the good ones I'll be sending her a link to read. :D

Thank you so much for writing.
